One of the most effective ways
to increase awareness about this disease is to communicate with the
public. The media is the best way to reach everyone. Through the
various mediums - TV, radio, newspaper, and the internet we can
obtain this goal. The programs established in the PR committee
enables those interested, the tools and material to reach out. Every
member of TARA can help improve awareness by speaking with their own
local newspapers, contacting the TV personnel handling medical
information and handing out PR packages to medical professionals,
just as some examples. As an organization, TARA provides it's
members or any other interested party, a fact sheet specifically
addressing the facts about Takayasu's Arteritis and the
organization.
