Conflict of
interest.
The Takayasu’s Arteritis Research Association
(TARA) has adopted a number of policies to ensure that the TARA web
site provides accurate, unbiased information about TARA programs and
activities to the widest possible audience. For more information or
to provide feedback on a specific policy, contact the TARA office
listed on this website. General questions and comments should also
be directed to this office.
All members of the TARA staff are expected to
adhere to high standards of ethical conduct. Additional information
is provided below to inform the public concerning potential
conflicts of interest.
The success of the TARA in performing its
functions depends on the effectiveness and evenhandedness of its
decision making processes. If judgments are warped or biased because
of conflicting outside interests, the decision making process is
compromised. TARA must continually earn the public's confidence in
its integrity. To do so, each TARA staff member will endeavor to
avoid even the appearance of impropriety.
If you have any question about conflicts of
interests and TARA, please contact the TARA Office listed on this
website.
Guidelines
for Reproducing or Using Graphics from the TARA Web Site
With the exception of TARA logos, permission
to use TARA graphics is granted on a case by case basis. Some are
public domain, some are created by TARA, and some are used by TARA
with specific permission granted by the owner. TARA's policy is to
use material (graphics, text, etc.) on our website only with
permission of the copyright holder. Therefore, with the exception of
the TARA logos provided, photos and illustrations found on the TARA
web should not be reused without permission.
For information about the copyright holders of
a given photo or illustration on the TARA web site, how the owners
can be contacted, and what, if any, use those owners allow of their
material, please provide the URL and file name to the tara office
listed on this web site.
Granting the right to use a graphic from the
TARA web site, does not explicitly or implicitly convey TARA's
endorsement of the site where it is used. If an TARA image includes
an identifiable person, using the image may infringe that person's
right of privacy or publicity, and permission should be obtained
from the person.
Once you receive confirmation from us that a
graphic is available for use, you may, at your discretion, credit
TARA with a "Courtesy: Takayasu’s Arteritis Research Association"
notation.
If you have any questions regarding the
reproduction or use of any TARA graphics, please direct them to:

Accessibility
of the TARA Web Site
The Takayasu’s Arteritis Research Association
is committed to making every document on its World Wide Web server
accessible to the widest possible audience.
We work with current accessibility information
an guidance to ensure that our documents are, to the maximum extent
feasible, accessible to persons using special screen reading
software and hardware.
We also have some files in PDF (Portable

Our commitment to accessibility is
particularly stringent for any publication relating to TARA funding
