The General Member Networking
System has been established to help those affected, either directly
or indirectly by Takayasu’s Arteritis. One of the ways TARA can
offer assistance to the many TA patients, family members and
friends, is to provide a service where everyone can maintain contact
with those who live near by, if possible or if not, just to touch
base with others who understand. TARA has developed the
Keep-in-Touch (KIT) program, which addresses this need. It allows
those who want a more interpersonal relationship through exchanging
of an e-mail and/or regular mail list. We hope this system will
bring together all those involved.
We are continually compiling a database of
all members who would like to exchange e-mails and chat. However, we
"must" obtain your permission before giving out any contact
information. If you would like to have your name added to the
Keep-In-Touch list, please send us an e-mail at
admin@takayasus.org
giving permission to exchange this contact
information.
We ask that you respect the "Internet lines
of communication." TARA prides itself on maintaining quality service
to its members. We know it is wonderful to send and receive e-mail,
we also understand the frustration upon receiving unwanted mail. It
is important to learn from your new friends what is acceptable. We
thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
If you would like to give your permission
to be added to our KIT program, please send us e-mail at:
