A) Member Database
- Search for new members- patients,
families, friends, medical professionals; maintain membership
forms; conduct new membership drives– utilizing educational
material.
B) Communication with Public -
Send welcome and membership
letters; manage membership package distribution: provide
knowledge of: the website, subscription to the newsletter – The
Bridge, access to educational material, involvement with the
Keep- in-Touch (KIT) program/support Network program; provide
knowledge of conferences; send out sympathy letters as required;
collect "membership donation" via mail and internet- (MC/Visa);
acknowledge "membership donations" with appropriate receipt
C) TA Networking System –
maintain both systems of patients and doctors: the program for
Patient/General Support (KIT program) for those members who want
more interpersonal contact with others or need to share or
obtain important facts and Medical Professional Support
Networking system.
D) Liaison within TARA -
Give demographics of patients to researchers; obtain story of TA
patient members and stories of those who contact TARA, if not a
current member for research and education purposes; collect and
compile research data forms for future reference.
