A) Distribution of Educational
Materials: provide a web site; brochures, facts sheets,
audio/visual presentations, and conference videotapes;
current related publications of information on pertinent
studies, drug approvals or breakthroughs on any issues
related to the vascular or other autoimmune related topics.
B) Maintain Speakers Bureau:
acquire a regional directory comprised of leading medical
professionals, researchers, those with TA, family, friends
and caregivers, who may be available to speak on the nature
of this disease, current research and treatments, coping
with chronic illnesses and other various topics.
C) Establish
Conferences/Presentations: coordinate medical
conferences with TA patients and doctors; arrange for
presentations at medical conferences, hospitals,
universities, other vascular, autoimmune and medical
organization’s meetings, schools, etc.;
D) Maintain Question and Answers:
a specific section on the website is dedicated for all those
to ask medical and/or related questions. TARA will work with
the Medical Advisory Board and all those necessary to obtain
the most appropriate answers to your questions.
